Return & Cancellation Policy

Service Nature

Squeblenrychral provides landscape design services, which are professional consulting and design services. These services are custom-created for each client and project, and as such, are not returnable in the traditional sense.

Cancellation Policy

Before Work Commences

If you wish to cancel a project before design work has commenced, you may do so by providing written notice. Any deposits or payments made will be handled according to the terms of your specific service agreement.

After Work Has Commenced

Once design work has begun, cancellation terms will be specified in your service agreement. Generally, you will be responsible for payment for work completed up to the date of cancellation.

If you cancel after receiving design documentation, you retain ownership of the work completed to that point, but may not receive refunds for work already performed.

Refund Policy

Refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis and depend on the stage of the project and the specific terms of your service agreement.

Eligibility for Refunds

Refunds may be available in the following circumstances:

  • Cancellation before work commences (subject to any non-refundable deposits specified in your agreement)
  • Failure to deliver agreed-upon services as specified in the service agreement
  • Mutual agreement to terminate the project

Non-Refundable Items

The following are generally non-refundable:

  • Work already completed and delivered
  • Initial consultation fees (if specified in your agreement)
  • Non-refundable deposits (as specified in your service agreement)
  • Third-party costs incurred on your behalf

Service Modifications

If you wish to modify the scope of work after a service agreement has been signed, we will discuss the implications for timeline, deliverables, and fees. Modifications may result in adjusted fees and timelines.

Dispute Resolution

If you have concerns about our services or wish to discuss a refund or cancellation, please contact us directly. We are committed to resolving any issues fairly and professionally.

We encourage open communication throughout the design process to address any concerns as they arise.

Digital Deliverables

Design documentation is provided in digital format. Once delivered, these files become your property (subject to copyright restrictions as specified in your service agreement). Digital deliverables cannot be "returned" in the traditional sense, but cancellation terms still apply as outlined above.

Consumer Rights

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights as a consumer under New Zealand law, including rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986.

Project Completion and Delivery

Design projects are considered complete when all agreed-upon deliverables have been provided to the client. Deliverables typically include:

  • Design plans and drawings
  • Material specifications and sourcing information
  • Plant lists with spacing and size information
  • Implementation guidelines

Once deliverables are provided and accepted, the project is considered complete, and standard cancellation terms no longer apply.

Revisions and Modifications

We understand that design is an iterative process. Minor revisions to designs are typically included in the project scope. Significant changes or additional revisions beyond the agreed scope may incur additional fees, which will be discussed and agreed upon before work commences.

Warranty and Guarantees

We stand behind the quality of our design work. If you believe that delivered work does not meet the specifications outlined in your service agreement, please contact us immediately. We will review the issue and work with you to resolve any legitimate concerns.

However, we cannot guarantee specific outcomes from landscape implementation, as results depend on factors beyond our control, including site conditions, implementation quality, and ongoing maintenance.

Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failures in performance resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, pandemics, government actions, or other force majeure events.

Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Return & Cancellation Policy at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified policy.
